Aquila Thunder Reds 4-String Bass Ukulele String SetBeginning in 1983, Mimmo Peruffo took his first steps in the art of string making. In 1997, Aquila began producing sets of Nylgut strings for classical guitars, as well as other instruments. One of Mimmo's Japanese clients suggested he look into making a set of ukulele strings. After Roy T . Cone examined the strings and subsequently ordered 1500 sets from that point on Aquila strings become the preferred choice of ukulele players all over the world.
