Stanton & Killeen Vintage Port 1995 (1500ml)Stanton and Killeen is one of the great pioneering wine families of Rutherglen. They produce arguably the best Vintage Port in Australia, quite dry by Australian standards and closer to the Portuguese style. It is, according to James Halliday, "ludicrously underpriced". The grapes for the 1995 Stanton & Killeen Vintage Port are principally drawn from 74 year old vines from the Jack's Block vineyard. We must thank Chris Killeen for its production

That all changed in 2007 when sons Rob & Tom Lightfoot took over the vineyard from their parents after gaining experience in the wine industry away from the region

the palate is luscious and silky with good mid-palate weight

very young for its age

silky fine-grained tannins that provide great persistence
