1999 Telestar Mona (Danelectro 1457) Electric Guitar w/Amplifier Case (Silver Sparkle)Designed by JT Riboloff (who worked at the R&D department of Gibson), this is one of the Mona models that was ordered with the "Rock n Roll To Go" package that included a hard case with a 10w amplifier and 6" speaker. Made in Korea by the Samick factory in 1999, the Mona features a "Tonium" body with a composite bolted to a maple neck with a 22 fret rosewood fingerboard (628mm scale) and weighs 2. 8kg's. Loaded with the original "Lightning Slidebar"

the bridge appears to have been replaced along with a new truss rod cover

loaded with a 5-way selector and SSH Gotoh pickups along with a factory upgrade Wilkinson tremolo system

Unlike the one smashed by Kurt Cobain

While at a glance they appear almost identical to the Japanese Standard model (also known as the ST-38)

smooth and shiny with slight wear

Overall it's in very clean cosmetic condition as pictured and plays perfectly after being in the hands of two of the best techs we know

The Varitone system works as it should and both pickups are loud and clear

This pedal has the legendary metal can LM308HZ chip used in the original RAT pedal instead of the plastic DIP8 LM308N in the Earthquaker version

Made by the Samick factory in Korea and sold primarily to the Japanese market

The pickups are 61R and 61T humbuckers for a classic voice with added power and top end

Loaded with a pair of passive Basslines PJ pickups controlled by master volume and tone knobs along with a push/pull pot activating a 9v boost circuit and three-way pickup selector
