1977 Greco Japan PB420W Mercury Precision Bass (Vintage White)

1977 Greco Japan PB420W Mercury Precision Bass (Vintage White)Made in Japan in 1977, the PB420W was the Greco model that aimed at replicating Fender's 60's Jazz Bass. Alder body with a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard (with dot inlays and a 41mm nut width), it weighs 4. 6kg's. Looks to be all original with the exception of the missing pickup and bridge covers. Very reasonable condition as pictured for it's age with light cosmetic wear and tear. Currently plays well with a functional truss and straight neck,

the Time knob controls the length of the delays and the 4 way Mode toggle switches between delay settings and sampler settings

The area was repaired and the finish was wet sanded and buffed so it's smooth to touch and the repair is virtually undetectable in the hand

Maxon U series humbuckers sound great as you'd expect

this one has the original G-III humbucker pickups and appears all original except for the missing strap button and a new output jack

Predating the Epiphone SL series by a number of years

Glossy black finish is crystal clear with only a few small dings

concentric volume/tone knobs for each pickup and individual "dual sound switches"
