Reading Is MagicReading Is Magic is a keepsake journal designed for parents and children to document the experience of reading together. Featuring a foreword by Emma Straub, the journal includes recommended reading lists, pages to log each book, space to note favorite authors, illustrators, and characters, and prompts for parents to reflect on their own childhood reading memoriesmaking it a thoughtful gift and lasting record of shared reading time.

These unfolding cues guide my use of the the chosen medium - transparency and opacity

There is also a sense of play in these artworks as I largely allowed the composition to unfold during the painting itself instead of relying on a well-formed plan made before setting my sights on the panel (my typical practice)
