'Pity Party' (2019)In 2019, Bonolo Kavula was the Artist in Residence at A4 Arts Foundation. During this residency, Kavula interrogated four conditions of Conceptual Art laid out by Colin Richards in his essay 'The Thought is the Thing'. She performed a live stand up comedy performance, as well as produced a zine featuring comic drawings, social commentary and print making forms that interact with the political and historical legacy of print making in South Africa.
