Hardy Palakona "The Deluxe Rod" 9'6" 3/2For sale here is a scarce Hardy Palakona "The Deluxe Rod". Serial number E19898 made in 1930. Nine feet six inches, three sections with two tips. The rod is completely original and in good condition with a few issues. The varnish is beginning to sag and crack in places, a good polishing could help with this. There is a fishing set in one of the tips. All wraps are secure. Burgundy silks with full brown intermediates. Agate stripper and tip tops.

Innovative design and a very nice operating reel

The palming spool has a small counterbalance on it and the reel comes in a standard Bogdan brown leather drawstring bag (inside the bag is an additional serpentine handle to re-convert to a standard side plate from the palming spool)

The inner dimensions of each drawer are 11" wide by 7 3/8" deep and inner height of 1/2"

Serial number 4551 - made in 1978

Reel comes with Scientific Anglers WF9F line and backing

so it's in near mint restored condition (there are still some very minor marks on the wooden reel seat spacer)
