Dingbat HouseI truly credit this as the print that started everything. Back in 2019, Gallery1988 reached out and invited me to be part of an LA themed group show. At the time, Id only made a few prints, so it felt like the perfect opportunity to start putting my work in front of people who might actually connect with it. While researching ideas, I came across something called a "Dingbat House", and it immediately clicked, it felt so distinctly LA, like a quiet nod

I first drew The Lighthouse Café because of its connection to La La Land

It’s another bittersweet building for me

It’s a little more under-the-radar than some of my other theatre prints

It’s easy to see why it’s such a popular wedding spot and filming location

I was starstruck by a building

I’m also lucky enough to be in touch with the owner of the house

with Blade Runner being the most famous example

yet it was so deeply woven into LA’s memory

I remember being amazed the first time I saw a cherry placed on top of my milkshake

I’m incredibly grateful to have a close relationship with the Griffith Observatory Foundation

I was lucky enough to visit the Magic Castle shortly before I worked on this print
