avant upper leg armourThe upper leg armour is crafted after the Avant armour. Leg armour of this type was worn throughout Europe between approx. 1440 and 1500. The upper leg and knee are optimally protected by this armour. The knee cops are provided with roundels for protecting the back of the knee. The armour also features a leather edge so it may easily be attached to a belt, permitting them to be worn as separate armour parts. This leg armour has a thickness of 1. 6 mm.
